Fitted

About Fitted

A job search is mostly the same work, over and over: reading postings to see which are worth it, rewriting one resume to match each, typing the same answers into form after form, and keeping track of where everything stands. Fitted does that work so your time goes to the parts only you can do — choosing, and talking to people.

The rules it keeps

It never invents

Every line on a tailored resume points back to something in your profile. A role, skill, degree or number you don't have is refused in code before you see it — not left to a prompt's good behaviour.

It never presses Submit

Fitted fills the form and stops. An application goes out only when you've read it and pressed Submit yourself.

You make the decisions

Which jobs to pursue and which resume goes out are always yours. Fitted does the reading, the rewriting and the remembering.

Your data is yours

Visible only to you unless you publish your page. Not sold, not used to train anyone's models, and exportable or deletable from your account at any time.

How it works

Fitted reads job postings from company job boards and the links you give it, and uses AI models — through OpenAI’s API, which doesn’t train on what it’s sent — to score them against your profile and reword your resume. What the model writes is then checked against your profile by rules in code, line by line. Filling happens in your own browser through the Fitted extension, so your job-site accounts and passwords stay with you. The guide has the details.

Why I built it

I spent more than twenty years building software and leading engineering teams, at companies including AWS and T-Mobile. When I started looking for my next role, I expected the hard part to be the interviews. It wasn’t. It was everything before them.

Every posting wanted my resume in its own words, so I rewrote it again and again — and lost track of which version went where. Every application asked for the same name, phone number, work authorization and notice period, often behind a new account. I read long postings to find the deal-breaker in the last paragraph, and applied to jobs that turned out to be filled weeks before. And when I tried AI tools to help, they cheerfully added skills I don’t have and numbers I never hit.

So I built the tool I wanted: one that reads the jobs, rewrites my resume for each from what I’ve really done, fills in the forms, and keeps track — and that never invents anything or sends anything without me. Its two firm rules come straight from that search. I used it for my own applications first. Fitted is that tool, opened up to everyone else.

Where we’re going

Fitted is a small, independent startup. Our goal is simple: a job search should be about you — the roles you want and the conversations that get you there — not the paperwork in between. We’re opening it a few people at a time so we can listen to every one of them, and what we build next comes from what they tell us. If something’s missing or wrong, tell us.

Fitted is operated by DKYS LLC.
